George Strong Buried at Fort Worth Yesterday Afternoon
Fort Worth, May 23 George Strong, aged 61 years, died yesterday afternoon at his home here. He was an Englishman by birth, but had been in this country a long time, engaged in railroad work. He came here in the service of the Pacific Construction Company, which built the Texas and Pacific west from Fort Worth and also the Denver.
In 1884 he was made paymaster of the Denver, which position he held until Mr. Ross retired, when Mr. Strong became treasurer and subsequently secretary-treasurer, which he held until about five years ago, when he retired from active work.
The funeral took place this afternoon, interment at East Oakwood Cemetery.
