Peter's wife, Elizabeth Russell Stiner is buried in the Katy Moyers Cemetery. Peter fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War, it is suspected by family members that he may have been conscripted as the vast majority of soldiers in this area fought for the Union. He was the father of 8 children.
