Lydia Sarah Kimmel was one of twelve children who all sang, played instruments and perfomed in concerts with their parents over a large area. One such concert held in Sharps Chapel 1-13-1892 is where Licurgus (Curg) Stiner met Lydia and immediately fell in love with her. They were married the following year on 2-12-1893. Lydia and Curg had 7 children before her death in 1909 at age 33 of meningitis/tuberculosis. She was Curg Stiner's 1st wife, he later remarried and moved after TVA bought his farm in Sharps Chapel.
