Funeral Saturday
EDINBURGH - Funeral for Lloyd Alley, 77, of Edinburgh, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Mr. Alley died at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1992, at Todd-Aikens Health Center in Franklin.
He moved to Edinburgh in 1953 from Adair County, Ky., and retired in 1978 from United Technologies.
He was born Oct. 26, 1915, in Russell Springs, Ky., the son of James and Rosa Stapleton Alley. He was the widower of Myrtle Rooks Alley.
Survivors include stepsons, Rollin, Eugene and Tyler Rooks, all of Edinburgh, Avery Rooks of Columbia, Ky., and Charles Curtis Rooks of Nashville; stepdaughters, Ruth and Cecil Burton and Ida Bryant, all of Edinburgh; 37 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
