Hazel Druzella Austin McRae, 83, of Blairsville, Ga., died Saturday, April 12, 2008 following complications from a fall.
Hazel was born in Acworth, Ga., on August 10, 1924 and lived most of her life in Smyrna and Marietta, Ga., moving to Blairsville about 15 years ago. She is the daughter of the late Loren Joseph Austin Sr., and Lora Pauline Austin.
Hazel was a graduate of Smyrna High School, was
the Brownie Girl Scout Leader of Chapter 11, a member of Chapter 387 of the Loyal Order of the Eastern Star and a devout Baptist. She retired from Hanover Insurance Company in Atlanta, Ga.
