Edward Franklin Cleghorn 89 of Red Banks New Jersey died at Riverview Medical Center Red Banks. He was an Interior house painrter with W.E.Rumson for 20 years, retiring in 1970. After his retiring, he became self employed as a restorer of antiques until 1998. He was an Army Veteran of WW II. Born in Joliet,Illinois, lived in Red banks for the past 50 years

Survived by his wife, Jean, a daughter, June Evans Connors of Neptune New Jersey, three grandsons, Bernard "Tripp" Dupree of Rumson N J, Jeffery E Dupree of Madison N J and Christopher Dupree Neptune N J, and three great Grandchildren, Alllison,Jillian and Connor Dupree. Many nieces and nephews also survive.Preceeded in death by his parents Walter Edgar Cleghorn 1944, Lillian May(Vail) Cleghorn 1936,his siblings Frank Leroy 1968(late Edna(Staley)1920,late Iona(Staley),Gertrude(late John 1936) Lauer 1975, Harry Edgar (late Marie 1965)Cleghorn 1975,Harriet Cummings 1967(late Charles Sheridan 1951) (late Ray Cummings 1961),Edna Nesser 1997 (late John Voight 1923),(late Edward Nesser 1955.

There will be no visitation. Interment will be private. The family requests that memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society, Broad St Shrewsbury NJ. John Day Funeral Home in charge of Internment at Farview Cemetery.
