Walter J. Houser, Sr., 61, a Vancouver resident for 26 years, died Friday in Vancouver. Born April 19, 1909, in Arkansas, Houser resided at 1800 Simpson Avenue here. He is survived by two sons, Walter Jr., and Ben, both of Vancouver, and three daughters, Shirley Galloway, Jane Balsidar and Jerry Keller, all of Vancouver. He is also survived by five brothers, Junior, Wallace, Robert, Nathan and Ray, all of Arkansas, and one sister, Annamay Moore, also of Arkansas. Survivors also include 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Reah Dougherty officiating. Vault interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. (obituary - source unknown)
