Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Sylvia K. Kiffmeyer, age 91, of St. Cloud who died Saturday, July 29 at St. Benedict's Senior Community Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Wendelin's Parish Cemetery in Luxemburg.

Friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 p.m. and the St. Peter's Christian Women and St. Barbara's Mission Group will pray at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Sylvia was born on November 14, 1914 in Rockville Township, Minnesota to Herman and Katherine (Lemm) Buersken. She married Leo T. Kiffmeyer on June 16, 1931 at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Luxemburg, and farmed in the Luxemburg area until moving to St. Cloud in 1957. Sylvia was a member of St. Peter's Parish, Christian Women, the Catholic Aid Association, and the St. Barbara's Mission Group.

Sylvia is survived by her children: Clem (Evelyn) of Painsville, OH, Marvin ( Diane) of Lino Lakes, Robert (Joan) of Waite Park, Doreen (Robert) Wiese of Luverne,Vernon (Dorothy) of Clear Lake, Eugene (Darlene) of Clear Lake, Carol (John) LaFond of Outing; 21 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Alvina Luebesmier of St. Cloud and daughter-in-law Beverly Kiffmeyer of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo on May 1, 1988; two sons, Roger, and infant son Alvin; one grandson Scott, one great grandson Scott; brothers, Henry and Joe; sisters, Alma Hanson, Irene Torborg, Jennie Kirmier, Mary Zwack, Annie Blum, and Loretta Krystosek.

Memorials are preferred to the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice Program or the St. Benedict's Senior Community.
