She married Allen Hungerford Morgan on September 25, 1946 in Marlboro, Massachusetts. She graduated from Framingham State Teachers College, Framingham, Massachusetts on June 5, 1960 and was a well-liked and respected kindergarten teacher. She was a long-time volunteer for the Parmenter Health Center in Wayland, Massachusetts in recognition of which she was awarded a silver plate in 1990.
While her husband, Allen, was widely recognized for his conservation efforts at the Massachusetts Audubon Society and as a Founder of Sudbury Valley Trustees, it was widely recognized that she was a tireless supporter of his efforts, particularly with her providing the back-up logistical support without which he could not have achieved all of his accomplishments.
She and her husband Allen had three children: Charles Carter Morgan, born in 1947; Helen Selinda Morgan, born in 1949; and David Rand Morgan, born in 1951.
Late in life after the death of her dearly beloved husband, Allen Morgan, Alice became fast friends with Horace Stanley "Stan" Palmer. Her relationship with Stan was so important to her that one of her last wishes was that some of her ashes be buried with Stan. Those wishes were fulfilled when her daughter, Helen Selinda Morgan, buried some of Alice's ashes at the rear base of Stan's grave stone. The location of that burial of her ashes can be seen in the accompanying photograph of the back side of Stan's gravestone at Evergreen Cemetery, Cumberland County, Portland, Maine (i.e., the grave stone on the right in the photograph on his memorial).
Anyone interested in Alice's memorial should be aware that her ashes have been buried in both places, albeit primarily in the Old North Cemetery in Wayland with her husband, Allen.
