DEATH TAKES H.K. BLOOR, BUSINESSMAN

Howard K. Bloor Sr. of Lisbon St. Ext., Glenmoor, president of Bloor's Pharmacies, died Friday at 5:47 p.m. at City Hospital following an illness of 4 1/2 years.
Mr. Bloor, 52, a veteran World War II, had been at the hospital since Thursday.
He was born in East Liverpool Nov. 22, 1917, a son of the late Leonard Bloor and Ethel Huff Bloor, and had resided here all his life.
He served with the 101st Airborne Division as a paratroper and was among the units which landed in Normandy in the 1944 invasion.
He was a Member of Riddle Masonic Lodge 315, East Liverpool Area Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Post 4.
He is survived by his widow, Evalyn Oyster Bloor, at home, two daughters and three sons. A sister, Mrs. Thelma Borg of Lisbon and a brother, Leonard Bloor of East Liverpool.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Paul and Robert Bloor.
Services wll be held at the Dawson Funeral Home Monday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. H. Gene Toot of the Trintiy United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Park Memorial Cemetery.
