"Lester M. Fannin, 63, of 1002 Samuel, No. 60, died Friday evening at his home following an apparent heart attack.
He was born July 20, 1912 at Pocatello, the son of Moses and Cora Skaggs Fannin. He lived at Crystal and then moved to Salmon when he was about 17.
In Jan, 1931 he married Maxine Steele. They moved to California in 1941 where Mr. Fannin worked for the City of Burbank. He retired after 32 years of service. Maxine Fannin died in 1953.
On April 13, 1954 he married Helen Lucile Ridenour in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple. They came to Pocatello three years ago and for the past two years have managed Flamingo Mobile Park.
A high priest in the Church of Jesus Chrit of Latter-day Saints, he filled two stake missions and served as a home teacher. He was a member of the ARPS and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of Pocatello; a son; Joseph Lester Fannin, Glendora, California; two daughters, Mrs. Spencer (Bonnie Marie) Hall, McClean, VA; Mrs. Lynne M. Flinders, Glendale, CA; four brothers; James Fannin, Moses Lake, WA; Delbert Fannin, Pocatello; Frank Fannin, Ketchum, Idaho; Milo Fannin, Sandy, Utah; six sisters Mrs. William (Ethel) Whiting, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Eldon (Delsa) Rice; Mrs. Della Johnson, both of Pocatello; Mrs. Victor (Nona) Cassity, Afton, WY; Mrs. Floyd (Rissie) Dennin, Roy, Utah; Mrs. Grace Pyper, Pocatello and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the LDS 12th Ward Chapel on Fredrigill Road with Bishop Boyd Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday evening at the Manning Funeral Chapel."
