Son of Isabella Henderson and James Milne. Served in he First World War in First Battalion 57th Artillery as a Private in Battery A. He was married 4 times. 1m to Farol/Ferol A. Gates on 11 Jul 1921 in Joplin, Jasper Co, MO. They lost a baby in 1924. They were divorced in between the 1934 and 1937 city directories. His 2nd wife was named Helen; they must have been divorced. He was married briefly to a woman named Lois. He was married to Alma (Lee) Smith Simpson on 24 Feb 1950 in the Oakhurst Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, TX. She later became a Jehovah's Witness. He was living at 3520 NW 25th in OKC when he died in Griffin Memorial Hospital. His wish was that his ashes be scattered from an airplane; whether or not that happened is unknown.

Interesting many in the city will be the marriage of Miss Ferol A. Gates and George Milne, both of this city, Monday evening in the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Kitty Gates, No. 915 West Second street. The Rev. E. T. Mangum of Neosho, will read the service in the presence of relatives and intimate friends of the bride and groom. The house decorations are to be field daisies. Following the service the bride and groom will go on a honeymoon in the Ozarks and upon their return will reside at 915 West Second. Both young people have a large circle of friends in Joplin. The groom's parents reside in Atchison, Kan.

The marriage of Miss Ferol A. Gates and George M. Milne was solemnized Monday evening in the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Kittye Gates, No. 915 West Second street. The rooms were profusely decorated in yellow field daisies and smilax. Promptly at 8:30 o'clock, Mrs. Maude Buckley sang, "My Garden Had a Rose" by DeKoven, after which, Miss Beulah Rhyne played Lohengrin's wedding march. Little Misses Betty Board and June Maddy carried ribbons forming an aisle for the bridal couple from the stairway to the altar of ferns, with an arch of honeysuckle and smilax, where the ring ceremony was read by Rev. E. T. Mamgum of Neosho. Immediate friends and family attended.

The bride was beautiful in white Georgette, tucked for the trimming. Valley lilies trimmed the large bow on the girdle and also the picture hat of white georgette. She carried bride's roses and valley lilies.

Following congratulations refreshments of yellow wedding bells and cupids of ice cream were served with the wedding cake. Mr. and Mrs. Milne left immediately for their honeymoon through the Ozarks and will be at home to their friends after August 1, at 915 West Second street.

Mr. Milne is the assistant manager of the Ramsay Dry Goods Company. Mrs. Milne also was in the employ of Ramsay's, having been in charge of the glove and ribbon departments, until a few weeks ago.

George M. Milne, 84, Oklahoma City, Okla., died Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the Veterans Hospital in Norman, Okla., according to news received by his sister, Mrs. E.T. Lowther, 807 Sherwood Way. Before his retirement, Mr. Milne was an executive with the John A. Brown Dry Goods Company in Oklahoma City. He had visited many times in Emporia.

Mr. Milne is survived by his wife, his sister, and one nephew, James Lowther, 1549 Berkeley Road.

Bogus Check Sends City Woman to Jail

Mrs. Lois Jack Milne, 32, of 501 NW 13, was placed in the city jail Saturday for investigation and was charged with passing a bogus check. She was released on bond for hearing later. Mrs. Milne was arrested Saturday afternoon after a grocery store owner filed a complaint when a $25 check bounced.
