Oliver Taylor, son of Samuel and Susanna (Perham) Taylor, was born in Dunstable, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 1 June 1746; he married in Dunstable, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 16 July 1767, Bridget Blodgett, born 31 December 1746, daughter of Josiah and Jemima (Nutting) Blodgett of Dunstable. His wife died 15 January 1794.

He married 2nd, 30 December 1794, Abigail Richardson born, Temple, 14 June 1775, daughter of Thomas and Abigail Richardson.

Oliver Taylor died 13 October 1823. Abigail, his widow, died 19 January 1839.

Eight children by his first marriage, and two by his second marriage.
