Verna Drees, age 87, of 411 Oak St., Peshtigo passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 9, 2007. Born on April 27, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Esther (Wagner) Jandt. On July 28, 1951 she married Bob Borths and he preceded her in death 1957. She married Henry Drees in March of 1964 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Verna taught elementary school in the area for many years. She enjoyed many hobbies, that included, sewing, golf, playing cards and traveling. She also enjoyed spending winters in Florida and time at their cabin at Kelly Lake where she liked to fish and relax on the pontoon boat. Verna was a member of the Peshtigo United Methodist Church. She is survived by:

2 grandchildren, Darren (Jill) Kramer, Danae (Nathan) Ciske
3 great-grandchildren, Abby and Sam Kramer, and Mabel Ciske
2 sisters-in-law, Mae Bates and Doris Feher
1 bother-in-law, Roland Demeuse
and many nieces and nephews

3 brothers, Bob, David and John Jandt
2 sisters, Elda Burke and Ruth Demeuse.
