Glenn was born on June 30, 1952 to Glenn Curtis Dashner, Sr. and Betty Ann (Moran) Dashner. he lived his entire life on Chicago's East Side where he attended Jane Adams and Galistel Elementary Schools. He graduated from Washington High School.
Glenn was employed by Midwest Community Press, delivering the Chicago Sun-Times, for several years. He retired for health reasons.
The Saint Petri United Church of Christ was his church. He went to Sunday School as a child. He was promoted to the Sunday School Junior Department on September 25, 1960. Glenn was confirmed on April 3, 1966, gaining church membership. He was a member of the Church Council serving on the Trustees Committee. He was a member of the Moose lodge No. 260 of Crown Point, Indiana. He was a founding member of the Illiana Lancers Drum and Bugle Corp. He was the past Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Illiana Post No.220.
Glenn died on Wenesday, May 27, 2009, in his home after a lengthy illness. He lived to be fifty-six years, ten months, and twenty-seven days.
He is survived by his brother, Pat Dashner (fianc'e: Charlene Barker) of Buffalo, MI, niece of Erica Dashner, two aunts, and numerous friends and relatives. Also he is survived by his St. Petri United Church of Christ family.
Glenn was proceeded in death by his parents. His mother, Betty Ann Moran Dashner in 1961 and his dad Glenn Curtis Dashner, Sr. who passed away April 2, 2003.
The life of Glenn Curtis Michale Dashner, Jr. is commended into the loving care of God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Glenn's ashes will be placed on top of his dad in Saint Mary Cemetery, in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
