The oldest child of a southern Colorado pioneer family, Lillian was born in 1912 to Thomas Edward Quine and Mrs. Minnie Miller in the mining town of Pictou, Colorado near Walsenburg in Huerfano County. Lillian graduated from Huerfano County High School in Walsenburg and from the American Business College in Pueblo. She worked at a variety of jobs in Walsenburg, pueblo and Denver before becoming a secretary in the State offices of the USDA Agriculture Adjustment Agency in Fort Collins in 1937.

She married Clint H. Wasser at the First Methodist Church in Walsenburg on March 26, 1939. She and her husband raised three sons. Lillian was first and foremost a homemaker.

Lillian was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher, was active in the Women's organization and Mariner-Anchor club.

Lillian was active in a variety of university and community activities including CSU University Women, Forestry Triangle, Faculty Columbine Study, Toastmistresses, Amnesty International, Colorado Historical Society, Denver Botanical Gardens, Daughters of Southern Colorado, 4H, and scouting.

She loved to paint landscapes and flowers and enjoyed photographing wildflowers. She often presented slide shows about wildflowers and was an active supporter of the County's Open Space program.

Lillian was survived by her husband, two sons, a sister, six grand children and seven great grand children.
