She married Clint H. Wasser at the First Methodist Church in Walsenburg on March 26, 1939. She and her husband raised three sons. Lillian was first and foremost a homemaker.
Lillian was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher, was active in the Women's organization and Mariner-Anchor club.
Lillian was active in a variety of university and community activities including CSU University Women, Forestry Triangle, Faculty Columbine Study, Toastmistresses, Amnesty International, Colorado Historical Society, Denver Botanical Gardens, Daughters of Southern Colorado, 4H, and scouting.
She loved to paint landscapes and flowers and enjoyed photographing wildflowers. She often presented slide shows about wildflowers and was an active supporter of the County's Open Space program.
Lillian was survived by her husband, two sons, a sister, six grand children and seven great grand children.
