John Roland "Hap" Stewart of Arnold, Calaveras county, a resident of Sonora until April 1963, was killed in a logging accident near Glencoe, Calaveras county, where he was employed by the Linebaugh Logging Company. He was a native of Modesto and resided in Sonora for 10 years before moving to Arnold. He was survived by his mother and his brother, Ernest.
