OBITUARY: James Madison Corl

James Madison Corl of 1009 W. College Ave., State College, died at his home today at 7 a.m.

Born Sept. 15, 1882, in Ferguson Township, Centre County, he was the son of Peter and Barbara Reish Corl. He was married Nov. 27, 1906, to Mary Hoy who died Aug. 30, 1959.

Mr. Corl, a retired farmer, is survived by one son, Paul M. Corl, State College; two sisters, Miss Cora M. Corl, State College, and Mrs. Elizabeth Strouse, Sunbury, and one brother, D. O. Corl, State College. Two grandchildren also survive.

He was a member of the Pine Hall United Church of Christ, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dale E. Boyer and John F. Harkins officiating. Internment will be in the Pine Hall cemetery. Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home Thursday from 1 to 9 p.m.
