Walter attended Liberty,Pa schools.He was Navy veteran of World War II and was part of the invasion of Normandy Beach. He was a member of VFW Sebring Post 6755 and member of the Evangelical Church of Sebring. Resided in Blossburg for 56 years. Prior to retirement he worked in the trucking industry. Was married to his wife Evelyn for 65 years. Surviving are son, Jack F. Kreger and daughter Nancy Lee Kreger Wunderlich.
