OBITUARY;
Betty L. Bowman, 62, of Mount Pleasant, died at 3:05 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 1995, at the Henry County Health Center.
Born Oct. 6, 1932, in Woods County, Okla., she was the daughter of Albert and Gladys Mincher Nicholson. On Dec. 13, 1950,
she married Donald D. Bowman, in Perryton, Texas. He died Sept. 29, 1985.
She and her husband moved from Kansas to Mount Pleasant in 1969. She was a homemaker. She attended the Faith Christian Church Outreach Center.
Survivors include two sisters, Gretchen Davenport of Los Lunas, N.M., and LeJoy Maxwell of Oxford, Kan.; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.Visitation will begin at noon Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will receive friends between 6:30 and 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Bowman will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Beatty Funeral Home, with the Rev. Monte Knudsen officiating.
Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Humane Society and the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital.
