Loretta May Reitz, 77, of Srattanville, died May 12, 2004, at Clarion Hospital.

Born Aug. 9, 1926, in Huey, she was the daughter of Clyde and Verdi May Bobbert.

She retired from Clarion-Limestone School after 30 years of service as a custodian.

She was of the Methodist faith and a life member of the Rimersburg VFW Auxiliary.

She was married Nov. 1, 1943, to Eugene D. Reitz, Sr., who preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1992.

Surviving are two sons, Eugene D. Reitz, Jr. of Distant, and Terry Reitz of Sligo; three daughters, Verda Delt of Saylorsburg, Jeannie Miller of Stratanville, and Donna Carbaugh of Summersville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Albert Bobbert, both of Butler; and "Gertie's" special friend, John "Mutt" Simpson of Huey.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol; and five brothers, Jack, Harry, Edward, Clyde and Don Bobbert.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Phillips, chaplain at the Clarion Hospital, officiating.

Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville.
