WELL KNOWN FARMER OF
POTTER NEIGHBORHOOD DIES
An illness of several months resulted in the death of George P. Highfill, 67, well known farmer of the Potter community, late this morning at the Atchison hospital.
The body was removed this afternoon from the Sawin & Douglass parlors to the Highfill residence south of Potter. Definite funeral arrangements have not been made.
George Preston Highfill was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas J. Highfill. He was born in the Potter community, September 8, 1865, and had spent his entire life there. He had farmed the land owned by his father and grandfather until the time of his illness.
He is survived by three brothers, John, T. J. and Benjamin Highfill, all of the home; and two sisters, Mrs. Ashton Hundley, Atchison; and Mrs. J. L. Linville, Plainview, Tex.
