Mr. Sales passed away Wednesday in Rusk Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born September 8, 1930 in Cherokee County and lived here all of his life. He was a carpenter and a farmer. He was also a Baptist.
Survivors include his daughter, Dianne Mixon of Atoy; his mother, Mary N. Sales of Atoy; two sisters, Hazel Vaught of Atoy and Mittie Marie Meyer of Dallas and one brother, William Arthur Sales of Houston.
Pallbearers were John Dean, Paul Dean, Jimmy Rogers, James Waggoner, Alton Hicks and Leo Hicks.
