Funeral services were held for Wiley Curtis Sales, 49, of Rusk, at 2pm Friday in the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Burial was at Martin Cemetery in Atoy.
Mr. Sales passed away Wednesday in Rusk Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born September 8, 1930 in Cherokee County and lived here all of his life. He was a carpenter and a farmer. He was also a Baptist.
Survivors include his daughter, Dianne Mixon of Atoy; his mother, Mary N. Sales of Atoy; two sisters, Hazel Vaught of Atoy and Mittie Marie Meyer of Dallas and one brother, William Arthur Sales of Houston.
Pallbearers were John Dean, Paul Dean, Jimmy Rogers, James Waggoner, Alton Hicks and Leo Hicks.
