Mrs. Jane Carver, Jeff Davis Countian, living out from Broxton, which is in Coffee, was buried at Mt. Pleasant Church Dec. 23. Rev. Leroy Carver and Rev. Chavis in charge. Mrs. Carver expired in a Douglas hospital two days before. She was 77 years old.
The deceased is survived by her husband, James Carver,Sr.; four sons, Johnnie, Curtis and Homer Carver of Broxton and Jimmie of Hazlehurst; four daughters, Mrs. Matisha Fletcher of Broxton, Mrs. J. L. McLeod, Mrs. R.R. Morgan and Mrs. J.A. Hart, Augusta; 34 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers at Mrs. Carver's funeral were: John Deen, George Deen, Nathan Harkleroad, Elmo Byrd, Dan Pridgen, John Vickers, George Dockery and John Dockery.
