Jack W. Branam, 60, of Greenwood, died Monday afternoon at his residence.

Born March 8, 1926, in Bloomington, he was the son of Oscar and Jeanette (Crouch) Branam. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and worked as a machine operator for General Motors. He was a self-employed barber.

Survivors include his wife, Betty L. (Medlock) Branam of Greenwood; five sons, Terry G. Branam of Bloomington, and Jeffrey S. Branam, Tim E. Branam, Dan J. Branam and Mike R. Branam, all of Greenwood; two daughters, Melissa A. Branam and Rhea D. Wratten, both of Greenwood; three brothers, Byron Branam of Florida, Joe Branam of Jeffersonville and Kenneth Branam of Greenfield; three sisters, Barbara Barnes of Cumberland, Peggy Shifflet of Bloomington and Nancy Rohyans of Indianapolis, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister
