A Giles County native, Ewell Vernon Deason, 76, of Pompano Beach, Fla., died Saturday, February 5 at Fairhaven Nursing Home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at 11:00 at Carr and Erwin Chapel with interment in Lynnwood Cemetery, Lynnville. The Rev. Mack Pinkelton and the Rev. Clarence Stewart were the officiants.
Mr. Deason had made his home in Florida for the past 35 years and was a retired member of the Brownwood Board of Education. His parents were the late Edward and Memory Hickman Deason.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Owen Deason; four daughters, Mrs. Joyce Fry of Pulaski, Mrs. Mildred Vaughn of Columbia, Mrs. Mary Cumbia of Plant City, Fla., and Mrs. Betty Beenting of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two sons, Major Robert Deason, stationed in Germany and Garland Deason of Pulaski; 10 step-children; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
