Thomas Bolly, 53, was the victim of an explosion and fire in the basement of his home which destroyed the two story frame farm house. Explosion of an acetylene gas lighting system may have caused fatal burns to Thomas and his son was seriously burned trying to rescue his father. The Clark County Coroner was investigating the accident. Thomas was laid to rest on January 31, 1939.
