Lucinda Maude Fisher was the 8th child of 13 born to John B Fisher (1808 - 1861) and Nancy D Webb (1809 - 1899).

According to page 297 of the "History of Early Settlers of Sangamon County, Illinois", John B Fisher and Nancy D Webb and their first five children moved from Kentucky to Illinois in the spring of 1839. The Fisher family began farming on land in Loami Township and expanded the family by 8 more children. Sadly, their first born, Nathaniel died in 1847, when Lucinda was only three years old.

On Sep 1, 1875, James Polk Campbell married Lucinda "Lucindy" Maude Fisher. They were married in Chatham, Sangamon County, Illinois.

"John B. Fisher enlisted August,1861, in Co. B, 30th Ill. Infantry for three years. He was 53 years of age, but believed it to be his duty to enter the army. In the Battle of Belmont, MO, he contracted Typhoid Fever and died at Cairo, IL." http://civilwar.ilgen

Lucinda continued to live on her mother's farm, helping her care for her younger siblings until her marriage to James Polk Campbell in 1875.

Lucinda lost brothers John Webb Fisher in 1904 (a POW at Andersonville Prison during the Civil War), and Isaac Newton Fisher, who never recovered from injuries sustained during the Civil War. Her youngest siblings, Priscilla, died during infancy in 1852, and Nancy Sarah died in 1860 at the age of six.

On June 2, 1915, Lucinda Maude Fisher Campbell died at the age of 71.
