A funeral for Robert William Lillis of Milwaukie, a retired Portland fireman, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Peake Memorial Chapel in Milwaukie.
Mr. Lillis died Thursday in a Portland care center of complications from Alzheimer's disease. He was 72.
He was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Portland and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a graduate of Grant High School and attended the University of Portland. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and married Olga Martinson on Aug. 14, 1943, in Aberdeen, Wash. Mr. Lillis worked for the Portland Fire Bureau for 30 years until his retirement in 1972.
Survivors besides his wife include his daughters, Sally Berry and Jane Lillis-Olson of Portland; and one grandson.
Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
