---Emma R. Fuson, daughter of Albert and Eliza Fuson, was born September 9, 1870, in Putnam county, Mo., and departed this life at 6:30 p.m., July 26, 1947, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 17 days.
---When four years of age, she moved with her parents to a farm west of La Plata, Mo. She lived in this vicinity until her marriage and then moved to Adair county.
---She was married to Thomas H. Miller on May 23, 1893. To this union eight children were born: Earnest J., of La Plata, Mo.; Vernon (who is deceased); Mrs. Alice Walters, Andrew and Roscoe, of La Crosse, Mo.; Cintha J., of St. Joseph, Mo.; and Ethel and Manford, who have been caring for her until her death.
---She united with the Illinois Bend Church in her girlhood, and later moved her membership to the South Gifford Christian Church.
---Her husband and one son have preceded her in death. She leaves one brother, Thomas A. Fuson, of Des Moines, Ia., her seven children, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren to mourn her departure.
---Funeral services were held at the South Gifford Christian Church, ..... afternoon at 1:30, conducted by Rev. Carl Hoff, of La Plata, Mo.
---The pallbearers were the grandsons, Nolan L. Miller, Dean Redmon, LaVaughn Cook, Merle Easley, Howard Hatfield, and Lester Grissom.
---The flower girls were the granddaughters, Jewell and June Miller, Donna Lynn Miller, Bertha Lorene Easley, Dorothy Mae Cook and Margie Hatfield.
---Interment was at the Indian Hill Cemetery.
