Word has been received here of the death of Mr. Turner Bottoms at the Soldier's Home at Johnson City, Tenn., where he had been about a year. He was 86 years of age and served as a Lieutenant in the 9th Kentucky Cavalry during the Civil War. He was well known and well liked here. He leaves no family, his wife having died several years ago. At his own request he was buried in the soldiers' cemetery at the Home.
