---Gladys B. Miller, age 69, of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Saturday (December 14, 2002) at the La Plata Nursing Home.
---Born on January 19, 1913, in Marceline, Missouri, she was the daughter of James Garfield and Alma (Hunt) Sappington. On December 24, 1929, in Kirksville, Missouri, she married Roscoe Miller, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1975.
---Also preceding her in death were her parents, one son, Edwin Miller, three brothers, Howard, Harold and Emmett and two sisters, Ruby Moore and Georgia Malloy.
---Survivors include, one son, Clifford and his wife, Donna Miller of Moberly, Missouri; one daughter Donna and her husband Gerald Burnett of La Plata, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Janet Miller of Macon, Missouri; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
---Gladys lived on her farm near Gifford, Missouri, for more than 61 years before moving to La Plata, Missouri in 1991. She attended the La Plata United Methodist Church.
---Funeral services will be held at 2;00 p.m. Monday (December 16, 2002) at the Travis Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be the pastor Shelia Swafford. Music will be provided by organist Sara Beth Fouch, and Melvin Bissey, soloist, playing and singing "One Day At A Time."
---Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery, La Plata, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Robert Burnett, Richard Burnett, Randy Hicks, David Kittley, Larry McDowell and Bill Walsh.
---Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Travis Funeral Chapel.
---Expressions of sympathy in memory of Gladys B. Miller may be made to Hospice 2000. Memorials may be left at or mailed to the Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Mo.
