--- Betty Lou Koger, 86 of Monticello, Ky., passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab in Somerset, Ky.
She was born September 12, 1922 in Monticello, KY; the daughter of the late Perry and Cora Alice Wray Walcott.
She married James A. Koger who preceeded her in death.
She is survived by one son, James Dallas (and Genive) Koger of Monticello, Ky.; two daughters, Barbara (and Kenneth) Turpin of Monticello, Ky., and Beverly (and Donald) Hicks of Somerset, Ky.; five grandchildren, Samuel (and Paula) Koger, Michelle (and Darby) Eastman, Kendra (and Totey) Green, Mischa (and Dan) Burgess, and Jarett (and Priscilla) Turpin; eight great-grandchildren, Tara Koger, Kelsey Burgess, Logan Eastham, Andrew Eastman, Madison Green, Chance Burgess, Shelby Burgess, and Kennedy Green; one brother, Hubert Walcott of New Castle, Ind.; and one sister, Ruby Groce of New Castle, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Koger; four brothers, Holland, Mac, Obie, and Hulen Walcott of New Castle, Ind.; and one sister, Ruby Groce of New Castke, Ind. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3 at 10 a.m. at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Marcum officiating.
Burial is in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
