Mrs. Smith, Dies At 43

Mrs. Agnes Smith, 43, of Rt. 2, Moulton, died at 6 a.m. today at the Lawrence County Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Lawrence County, and had been a resident of the Five Points community for nine years. She was a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Fairfield Church of Christ, with Kyle McWhorter officiating. Interment will be in the Red Hill Cemetery.

Active bearers will be Waymon Hensley, Clifton Little, John Bass, Hollis Sapp, Ray McWhorter, and Mackey Hamptson.

Surviving are her husband, Grady Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene Kenum of Rt. 2, Moulton, and Mrs. E.W. Sapp of Decatur; two sons, Raymond and Alton Smith of Rt. 2, Moulton; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. A.W. Jones, of Rt. 2, Danville; four sisters, Mrs. Roy Strickland and Mrs. Arley Weaver of Kalamazoo, Mich., Mrs. Clarence Hensley of Rt. 3, Danville, Mrs. Ernie Spivey of Decatur; four brothers, Edward and Houston Jones of Rt. 2, Danville, Vernon Jones of Kalamazoo, Mich., and A.W. Jones, Jr., of Chicago; and three grandchildren.
