Gilbert Olson
NORWAY—Gilbert A. Olson, 67, of Norway, died Monday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain.

Mr. Olson was born in Norway on June 16, 1917, a son to the late Albert and Yarda Olson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He married the former Sandra Lecaus. Mr. Olson worked at Grede Foundry for many years and was also a self employed farmer. He was a member of the Community Bible Chapel.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Barry of San Jose, Calif., and Daniel at home; three daughters, Darlene Olson of Kingsford, Rachel Forsberg of Iron Mountain, and Grace Olson of San Jose, Calif.; three brothers, Oliver of Delavan, Wis., and Rudy and Edward, both of Quinnesec; two sisters, Florence Gawelko of McLean, Va., and Edna Laws of Pennsylvania, a grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Miner Funeral Home. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Community Bible Chapel, with Rev. Anthony Adams officiating. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
