"Services for Fritz F. Guenther, 71, of Crofton, were held Monday, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 10:30 a.m. in Crofton. The Rev. Daniel Galas officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery. He was born December 24, 1903, in Beemer. The family moved to Creighton, then to Crofton in 1911. January 13, 1931, he married Hildegard Rose Steffen at Constance and they farmed in the Crofton area. He was a member of Holy Name Society. He died Saturday at his home. Survivors include his widow; five daughters, Miss Adela of Osmond, Mrs. Alvin (Ernestine) Hegge, Mrs. Lyle (Lois Ann) Leader, Miss Donna Mae, all of Crofton, Sister Janet of Petersburg; two sons, Donovan and Daryl, both of Crofton; one brother, Joseph of Columbus, Wis.; 21 grandchildren."
