Oma Elizabeth Fortner Mitts was born on March 27, 1900 in Farmintgon, Arkansas to parents William Riley Fortner and Lucy Caldwell.

On April 2, 1915 she married Henry Lafayette Kissier in Morrilton, Arkansas. They had three children: Bessie, Arthur, and Henry. On December 29, 1940 Henry passed away of the influenza and pneumonia.

Oma then married Charles "Cass" Raymond Young on March 9, 1953 in Vancouver, Washington. They were married 3 years when Cass passed away on March 25, 1956 in Portland, Oregon.

On December 15, 1964 she married George Edward Mitts in Kelso, Washington. They were married 12 years when she passed away on February 4, 1976 in Vancouver, Washington.

Oma is survived by her husband George; sons, Arthur Lee and Henry Floyd Kissire; daughter, Bessie Burris; sisters, Lonnie Lee Fortner and Jessie Mae Wiggins; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to the funeral services on Friday at 1:00 PM at Jacobson-Cascade Funeral Home, 9106 SE Foster Rd, Portland, Oregon.

Internment at Williamette National Cemetery.
