Jean Rae Morgan Barnes, 81, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in Morrow, Ohio following a short illness. She was a Rainelle, West Virginia native born December 26, 1927, only child of Donovon and Phyllis Barnett Morgan, homemaker, and resident of Berea (which she loved) for many years. Mrs. Barnes was a faithful member of First Christian Church (and the Disciple Sunday School Class), member of the Tuesday Bridge Club, Womens Coffee Club, and served as a Berea Hospital Volunteer from 1990 until 2008. She received the American Legion Post 50 Citizen of the Year award in 1996 for outstanding community involvement. Her hobbies included playing golf and being involved in community events.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Donna (Allen) Hoffman and Doris (Harold) Adams both of Ohio; 3 grandsons, Eric (Angela) Hoffman, Matthew (Mandy) Hoffman, Benjamin Adams; 8 great grandchildren, Gerrin, Alexis, Gunnar, Sierra, Zack, Alex, Shelby, Erica; as well as, numerous relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin J. Barnes.

Graveside Service 1:30 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Berea Cemetery with Pastor Ed McCurley officiating. Visitation 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at Reppert Funeral Home.
