Adam K. Newcomer was born July 23, 1860, and died September 12, 1931, aged 71 years, 1 month, and 19 days.
He had been complaining for almost a year and apparently wasted away. He had been a good citizen and hard working man all his life. He was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Reformed Church for many years.
The funeral services were held from the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra K. Newcomer, Jefferson, Pa., with whom he had made his home for many years. The services were held on Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 1931, with brief services at the house and the concluding services and burial at the Stone Church. The funeral text was John 5:21. Rev. W. H. Ehrhart assisted at the services.
