Eunice I. Quasius, 94, died Tuesday, April 1, 1997, at Heritage Nursing Center, where she had been a resident for the past six and one-half years.
Born May 29, 1902 in Sheboygan, Eunice was a daughter of the late Frank and Emilie Eisner Rosenthal. She graduated from Sheboygan High School.
On Jan 19, 1928, she married Roland H. Quasius at First Congregational Church, Sheboygan. The couple resided at 519 N. 27th St. for many years. Roland preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1986.
Eunice was employed by Northwestern Railroad for many years. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where she served several terms as president of the Women's Guild and was a member of the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the former Turner's Drum and Bugle Corps.
Eunice is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Gilbert) Bobholz, Waukesha; her son, Glenn (Elaine) Quasius, Clearwater, Fla.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters.
Private funeral services for Eunice will be held at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Thursday, April 3, with Rev. Gregory S. Whelton, pastor of St. John's UCC, officiating. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
