Artis J. Walker Swofford Isom, 83, of Sweet Home, died July 2, 2009.
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. on July 11, at Gilliland Cemetery.
She was born in Sligo, Mo., to Thomas V. Walker Sr. and Rita J. (Chambers) Walker.
She moved to Sweet Home in 1934. In 1948 she moved to Petersburg, Alaska, where she worked as an EMT. She returned to Sweet Home in 1997.
She is survived by sisters Lucile Loux of Sweet Home, and Louise Maxwell of Tacoma, Wash.; brothers Bill Walker of Montrose, Colo., and Bob Walker and Mel Walker, both of Sweet Home; grandsons Chase and Captaire Swofford; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband John Isom, son Gary Swafford and brother Thomas V. (Toad) Walker Jr. died before she did.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
