He was married to his Wife; Carrie Ola Welborn Fitzhugh, and they married on December 22, 1897 in Logan County, Kentucky.
They had eight children; Duke Bowden Fitzhugh, Linnie, Broadus Lehmon Fitzhugh, Nannie Evelin Fitzhugh, Gladys Welborn Fitzhugh Newman, Layton Carroll Fitzhugh, Mary Nell Fitzhugh, Hilda Louise Fitzhugh.
Frank, passed away in November of 1940 at the age of 67 years old from what was believed to have been Cancer. His funeral service and burial was held on December 2, 1940.
