Mabel Adams, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Adams of Irma, passed away in Mercy hospital in this city Sunday after an Illness extending over several weeks. The cause of her death acute nephritis.

Annie Mabel Adams was born in Alta Vista, Iowa, May 11, 1904, and died in Waverly Oct. 14, 1923, at the age of 19 years, 5 months and 3 days. With the exceptions of about five years, all her life has been spent in Bremer county, and four years of this was in Waverly. She graduated from the Waverly high school with the class of 1921, members of which served as Pall hearers at the funeral. After this she took a term at the State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. A year ago she entered Wartburg college in this city, taking a course in stenography, also Bible study and the violin. From her Bible work she derived much comfort and pleasure. Her bible was the last thing she asked for.
