He then married Melody with whom he had 1 daughter. He divorced her then married Penny, whom he divorced. He had lived in Traverse City for 20 years. He was a member of The Eagles Club of Traverse City, the Moose Lodge of Traverse City, and the American Military League Post 1 of Traverse City. He loved hunting and fishing.
Ernest Junior 'Ernie' Hankins died Thursday 30 Nov 1995 at the age of 51 y 7 m 10 d at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City from a Heart Attack. Survivors included his mother; 10 sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest 17 Apr 1985; 1 brother, Robert Hankins 18 Jul 1979; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday 03 Dec 1985 at Covell Funeral Homes Traverse City Chapel. Funeral services were 1 pm Monday 04 Dec 1995 at Covell Funeral Homes Traverse City Chapel with Rev Gerry Bauman officiating.
Burial was in Plot North 065NE in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids.
Memorials were to be directed to the Ernest J Hankins Memorial Fund.
