While her death certificate says she was born in August of 1834, most online genealogy lists her birth as in August 1833 in Bernville, Berks County, Pennsylvania and her parents as Zadoc Weber and Maria Keener. On her death certificate, however, her father is listed as Shredrick Wever, a probable bastardization of his name.
Her last address on the death certificate is 802 Somerset Street. Selisa's cause of death was listed as atrophic cirrhosis of the liver and ascites. This means she had excessive development of connective tissue, causing scarring and painful swelling in her liver and fluid in the abdominal cavity. No funeral notice appears to have been published in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
In the 1910 census, the first after her passing, her widowed husband Daniel lives alone in Jackson Twp. in Columbia County. In the 1920 census, Daniel (age 87) appears as a widower in Philadelphia, living with his widowed daughter Jane Strausser and her family, plus several boarders.
Her husband's name appears to have been Daniel D. Hand Romberger, and his parents Johannes Traut Romberger and Eve or Eva Zimmerman Hand.
In March of 2012, fellow contributor Fred Riegel noted: "Selisa was the eldest child of Zadoc and Anna Maria Keener Weber. Zadoc was a well known carpenter in Berks County. He was born in Rehrersberg, PA, lived in Bernville, PA, and is buried at Haag's Cemetery in Bernville. Unfortunately, I have not located (first wife) Anna Maria Keener's gravesite. Zadoc is buried with his second wife, Margaret Parst Weber. My great great grandmother, Sarah was Selisa's sister."
