Hopson/Hobson Marcus Jackson was the son of Marcus L. Jackson ( 1/7/1816 GA - 12/1987 AL)and his wife Matilda "Mary" Cl Hobson/Hopson Jackson (9/15/1826 SC - 8/15/1898 AL). Hopson's parents were buried at Rocky Mount Cemetery, Highland House, Crenshaw County, AL The grave of one of his brothers--William Sharpe Jackson--is very close to Hopson's grave in San Marcos Cemetery.
