MARRIAGE
The Star - Pascagoula - Saturday Feb 20, 1875
..On Saturday evening, 6th instant, we were complimented with an invitation to meet a few neighbors at the residence of Cadmus H. Alley Esq. to witness the marriage ceremony of the niece of Mrs. Alley, Miss Mary Bilbo, with Mr. Leonard Sarrazin of New Orleans. Rev. Father Wise performed the ceremony with the impressive rites of the Catholic Church and took occasion to notify the young couple that the tie was regarded by the church as indissoluble, for better or for worse. Would that it was more generally so considered. The thoughtlessness with which the contract is interned into, and the ease with which the tie is severed by the law is a disgrace to the age in which we live. But, as in this instance, Happy they; the happiest of their kind. Whom gentle stars unite, and in one fate. Their hearts, their fortunes and their beings blend.

After the ceremony the little company gathered around a generous table where the health and prosperity of the happy couple were often pledged. They left on the 7 o'clock train for New Orleans.
