Martha Ellen "Helen" Coleman Tunnell was born in Prentiss County,Mississippi May 10th,1923.According to her,the name "Ellen" was a typing error and should have read "Helen" which was the everyday name she went by for most of her life.In the 1950's she moved to Sapulpa Oklahoma where she married Garnish Tunnell.Helen was best known for her comical yet brutally honest and outspoken personality.She picked cotton with Johnny Cash in Dice Colony Arkansas when he lived there.Helen is greatly missed and was loved by all.
