Elton was the oldest child of 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Arriving in Vietnam 3 October 1968, Elton was assigned to Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. Mike Company was in the vicnity of Hill 55 and 8 kilometers northeast of the Liberty Bridge when the copany was engaged by hostile forces. Elton died as a result of a gunshot wound to the body from hostile rife fire during the intense fighting. The Marines lost 2 Corpsmans and 12 Marines.
Survived by his parents, Elton Esmond and Ellianor Annette H Anderson, his
3 brothers; Jack Lee, David Haggen, Rex and his 3 sisters; Shirley June, Gail
and Kay Anderson all of 674 Neveda Ave, Lovell, Wyo.
