Randolph Bailey, son of Howard and Amanda Bailey, was born in Indiana, November 25, 1846, and died Feb. 12 at the home of his son C. S. Bailey, Route 7. He was 81 years old
Mr. Bailey came to Iowa with his parents at an early age and had resided in this county for more than seventy years. He was united in marriage to Miss Clara E. Fessenden in 1873. Besides his son he is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Grace Waddle of Ottumwa, Mrs. William Elsea of Novinger, MO and Mrs. M. E. Hatch of Miles City, Mont. He is also survived by a brother C. A. Bailey of Kansas City, Mo; a sister Mrs. H. W. Whitney of Bladensburg, and twenty-one grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the Agency Methodist Episcopal Church, with the Rev. J. C. Behrens in charge. Interment was made in Agency Cemetery.
